This class was really, really excellent. Rye is a great teacher and clearly passionate about what he is doing. I took it wondering about working with carbon and epoxy in my ladder braced guitars but Rye is so enthusiastic about Falcate bracing, it also makes me want to try that. Rye is clearly enjoying what he's doing very much and that's inspirational. I think what I appreciate most is that his system really seems to make internal sense. When I asked him a question, he never contradicted himself from things he had said previously. Producing great guitars can be such an abstract challenge to understand but Rye seems to have a system that consistently makes sense and I think that's what makes his guitars so good. I have zero doubt that my guitars will be 20% better starting today then they were 4 days ago watching his class. I will be able to work much cleaner inside the box, I have a much better strategy for tuning my plates and in general a much better understanding of what I'm doing. Rye was very patient with my questions. He also answered a lot of questions about building a lattice braced classical and that was super helpful to me.
